&; SAY WHAT? Miss you!
&; FEEL WHAT? {Sad? Happy? The feeling's bittersweet}
&; HEAR WHAT? {My daddy's singing}

Hey guys,

As Class Chair of 2E '06, I think its really appropriate if I end the school year with a mini speech which I doubt I can make in class, because we're all playing and enjoying ourselves so much :)

Remember the time we all first stepped into 2E? Okay. Rewind a little. Shuwei, Nic and I couldn't find the class, and almost went into 3E. When we went in, it was noisy, but a very warm and happy feeling spread through all of us. Looking at familiar faces, and not so familiar ones.

When I was saboed into being a class chairperson, I was seriously rather freaked out. I mean - ME? anyone would laugh to death. I'm the least responsible person around. Yeah which leads to my apology for the constant yelling to get down to the concourse on time [if not face scolding from Mr Low - he told me that we had to be down by 7.15am because everyone did.] and to keep quiet.

As Mr Low puts it, this class has been challenging. Honestly. I'm not kidding, its not easy trying to put your point across because people are always chattering. But chattering is good, no? Brings joy and happiness :)

Remember Ms Cheah's birthday cake? I almost left it in my fridge that morning. Wasn't it retarded that we started singing the birthday song to no one? Oh gosh, that was seriously funny.

When we sang leaving on a jet plane by improvising lyrics in 10minutes flat? That was pretty awsome. Though I have to confess, she told me that she'll be leaving about a month before she left.

Remember how we sang the birthday song everyday during mr low's lessons? I remember how fed up he was, requesting to see the ICs and all that.

Remember Ms Cheryl Ng, whom no one calls her Ms Ng? She gave Ding and I an A for music, though I must admit that we didn't practise until we sat outside of the classroom. Watching Moulin Rouge and Westside Story during her lessons and asking her about the scandals with Mr Seow?

Talking about him, we never paid serious attention during his lessons. Hmm. I don't wonder why, no offence.

Teachers aside. I've made so many new and close friends this year. Like Rivali and Zoe. Zoe, I really have to thank you for teaching me quadratic graphs. Remember how I started crying in the morning because I couldn't figure out the graphs? Thanks for comforting me and teaching me math :)

Of course, there are so many to go down the line - ria, shakti, lav, vera, ivfen, cheryl, daphie, ding, claire, hui ling, salad, nic, xiao, esther... the next thing you'll know, everyone in 2E will be listed down. hahaha.

Isn't it so weird? many rather exams end immediately. The common sentence along the corridor was "I cannot wait for the exams to end!" But after the exams, we would have very little class bonding time. And for 2E, we have become very very bonded with each other.

In fact, if you think about it, exams were the very things that brought us close together - we mugged hard in the library, cramped on the same table. [Maybe not, but you get my point.]

And now, its time for this year to draw to a close. When the next year comes, we must, and will face it with confidence and happiness, knowing that we have 35 others supporting us, no matter what happens.

Jermaine

&; SAY WHAT? Dear 2e
&; FEEL WHAT? {sad, yet spastic}
&; HEAR WHAT? {Graduation - Vitamin C}

Dear 2e,

I won't bother to say "Never forget 2e," because I know you gals never will. The past year has been one of the best years in my life, and I think many of you share the same feelings. I can't imagine that it's been ten months since we all first crowded into 2e, and looked around at all the new faces, wondering how the year would be like.
We've fought, smiled, argued, agreed, laughed, cried, together, how can all this come to such an abrupt end? After the exams were over, I realised that we had two weeks left together. Now, its only one day. One day before so many of us follow different paths, some to NJC, some to SBC, and all of us split up into different classes because of the various subject combinations we chose.

I still remember watching Mr. Low walk in on the 2nd of January, and seeing everyone's 'horrified' glances. "Oh no! Is he going to teach us??" - that's what I told Amrit. And now, almost a year later, we look upon Mr. Low with a certain fondness, and I'm sure we all miss him.
Then, we saw Mrs. Chan walk in, unsure of whether she would be nice, I myself very afraid that she would demand from me the millions of art pieces I never handed up in 2005.

We stoned in History, doodled in Geog, had great fun learning Chapters 5 & 6 in Bio and bullying Mrs. Lee, exasperated Ms. Cheah in Chem, were shocked by Mrs. Ng's "Romeo and Juliet got married for sex!" , were irritated by Mr. Khoo in P.E, the list goes on and on.
Do you remember pretending to run in P.E, and then starting to walk the moment Mr. Khoo was out of sight? Or all the effort we put in, buying a cake, hiding in the empty classroom, and singing "You’re Leaving On a Jet Plane" for Ms. Cheah? And practicing for Family Night? Or singing the birthday song randomly to so many teachers? And so many other things which brought us closer us a class? I hope none of you will ever forget, or discard these memories. [Unless you don't have a brain, the lack of which is, admittedly, rather common in 2e.]

How many of you will forget Sarah blushing? Or Hui Ling complaining about Mrs. Lim? Esther pole-dancing and Xiao's obsession with rabbits? Jermaine yelling at us to keep quiet, Astrid screaming "BRA BRA BRA!" Jaime falling asleep in class, Jacky being called 'Dicky', Cheryl asking weird questions, Xiao Hui and Nicole laughing randomly? Esther pole-dancing, Claire and Amrit fighting for marks, Charlene and Larisa being weird, Hui Ting screaming with laughter and falling on the floor for no reason? How many of you will forget Xing Yi (Sotong!) and Amanda's blurness? Me throwing a cockroach at Mr. Low? Candice and JinYee and Naomi becoming evil? Or cleaning the windows for so long with so much enthu?

Even the teachers – Mr. Low saying "Hitler was a very bad man" and "David Marshall was a Jew." Mrs. Chan yelling at me and Amrit for not bringing forms (Sorry Mrs. Chan!) and almost crying in exasperation over Xing Yi and Amanda's blurness. Us bullying Mr. Seow and him coming to school with his zipper undone. Asking Mrs. Lee about flavoured condoms. Pestering Ms. Cheah about her and Mr. Ong ["Ms. Cheah, is there any CHEMISTRY between you and Mr. Ong??"] Laughing as Ms. Ng got scared by Astrid and Moulin Rouge, these are memories I'll always keep..

And of course, other rubbish – talking about Wee Kiat, making up relationships between Mr. Seow and Mrs. Chan, and other teachers, shushing Mrs. Chan during exams…

"And as our lives change,
Come whatever,
We will still be friends forever."
-Vitamin C; 'Graduation'

Will this come true for 2e? I hope so. I really do.

During the past year, we've become so close to each other, I'm sure various cliques will keep in touch. Lets not end the year with any enmity between us, or any hatred for teachers.
So, one last thing: There will be a 2e reunion, "come whatever." We have to meet up one day, when we're all grown up and see what happened to all of us. So, you all better be there in 10 years time, whether we're kidnapped and taken to Iraq or not.

Love,
Rivali

&; SAY WHAT? Turn to God in the darkest hours! (like now) :)
&; FEEL WHAT? :)
&; HEAR WHAT? Hillsong - Soldier

Hey everyone, just wanted to share something I stole from Huiting (I hope she doesn't mind :p) that stuck a chord in me.

As you got up this morning, I watched you, and hoped you would talk to me, even if it was just a few words, asking my opinion or thanking me for something good that happened in your life yesterday. But I noticed you were too busy, trying to find the right outfit to wear.

When you ran around the house getting ready, I knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello, but you were too busy. At one point you had to wait fifteen minutes with nothing to do except sit in a chair. Then I saw you spring to your feet. I thought you wanted to talk to me but you ran to the phone and called a friend to get the latest gossip instead. I watched patiently all day long. With all our activities I guess you were too busy to say anything to me.

I noticed that before lunch you looked around, maybe you felt embarrassed to talk to me,that is why you didn't bow your head. You glanced three or four tables over and you noticed some of your friends talking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn't. That's okay. There is still more time left, and I hope that you will talk to me yet.

You went home and it seems as if you had lots of things to do. After a few of them were done, you turned on the TV. I don't know if you like TV or not, just about anything goes there and you spend a lot of time each day in front of it not thinking about anything, just enjoying the show. I waited patiently again as you watched the TV and ate your meal, but again you didn't talk to me.

Bedtime I guess you felt too tired. After you said goodnight to your family you plopped into bed and fell asleep in no time. That's okay because you may not realize that I am always there for you.. I've got patience, more than you will ever know.... I even want to teach you how to be patient with others as well.

I love you so much that I wait everyday for a nod, prayer or thought, or a thankful part of your heart. It is hard to have a one-sided conversation.

Well, you are getting up once again. Once again I will wait with nothing but love for you. Hoping that today you will give me some time. Have a nice day!

Your friend,
GOD

Right now as we're having exams, we suddenly see the need to pray and ask our Heavenly Father to help tide us through this exam period, help us remember what we've learnt, divine understanding etc etc... But do we only turn to him now because we need him? How many times do we turn away from praying, thanking and thinking about him, reading his word just because we're too tired, too busy, too embarrassed?

But if we're too tired, how'd we find the time to watch TV before we sleep? If we're too busy, then how come we're online right now, me typing this and you reading this? And if you're too embarrassed, then I think you should really pray behind closed doors so no one sees you, and ask God to help you not be embarrassed about Him! Cuz we're his ambassadors, by our praying, our actions, our words, we testify for Him.

Prayer can be simple, it doesn't take more than a minute to bow your head and clasp your hands together and whisper a prayer of thanksgiving or whatnot. Recess is 45 mins, surely you can spare ONE minute of that time praying? :D yeah sure canteen food isn't THAT nice, but at least we even have food! So that's enough for us to praise and thank God for!

Hope this encourages you guys to draw nearer to God and thank him for all the fun and stuff we've had this year together as a class!

GOD BLESS FOR THE REMAINING PAPERS!!!! XD
